When you fill in our contact form, we collect your name, email address and your message. If you choose to fill them in, we also collect your business name, phone number, and how you heard about us.

That's all. We don't have user accounts, we don't take payments on this site, and we don't ask for anything sensitive.

We also count page views using Vercel Analytics. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't store your IP address, and can't follow you across other websites. It tells us which pages people read and roughly which city they're in. It can't tell us who you are.

We don't use cookies for tracking or advertising, so there's no cookie banner to click.

To reply to your enquiry, and to keep a record of the conversation if we end up working together. Nothing else.

Your enquiry is saved to our database, which is hosted in Sydney, and emailed to us at contact@builtmate.com.au so that a person actually sees it.

Some of the services we rely on are based overseas, which means your enquiry is handled on servers outside Australia. Resend (United States) delivers the notification email to us, Google Workspace holds our inbox, and Vercel (United States) hosts this website.

We do not sell your information, share it with advertisers, or add you to a mailing list.

Email contact@builtmate.com.au. You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We'll sort it out within a reasonable time, and we won't ask you why.

Email contact@builtmate.com.au and tell us what went wrong. We'll get back to you within 5 business days and try to fix it properly.

Built Mate is a small business and is not currently covered by the Privacy Act 1988. We've written this policy anyway, because you should know what happens to your information regardless of whether the law makes us say so.
